WELCOME TO GOLD COAST COMBAT ACADEMY

Gold Coast Combat Academy is currently the ONLY location in all of Ghana and possibly West Africa where Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Combat Ju-Jutsu are taught by a certified and experienced Black Belt Professor. We offer a wide variety of classes, so whatever your personal goals are, we have curriculum to help you achieve them.

For those interested in Self-Defense, we teach Combat Ju-Jutsu, which is the premier style of protection for every situation, whether you are a woman or a child facing a single attacker or even multiple attackers with weapons.

CJJ (Combat Ju-Jutsu) is also extremely practical for police officers, military personnel, prison officers, or anyone else working in the security services. If you are a female interested in Women's Self-Defense, we offer classes specifically for you, in a female-only environment.

If you want your child to learn self-defense, we have curriculum for them that will give them the self-confidence to deal with any situation they encounter. We always teach them the skills to de-escalate the situation verbally, if possible. Then if verbal de-escalation isn't possible, they are taught that they should physically remove themselves from the area, i.e. run away and ask an adult for help. If it's not possible to verbally de-escalate the situation or run away, they are taught how to physically deal with their antagonist.

There are many, many scenarios and every situation is different so there's no “one size fits all” solution to every self-defense situation. They will be exposed to a wide variety of scenarios where they will role play and practice in a safe and controlled environment what they're taught, so that if they ever need to use these skills in real life, they can use them with full confidence.

If you are interested in competing, you will have the opportunity to train and possibly compete with the Ghana National Combat Ju-Jutsu Team. Nearly everyone on this team is a national or international champion. The professor is the National Coach, and this is the only place in Ghana to receive proper instruction. You also have the opportunity to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and compete in open tournaments with our Competition Team.

Again, Gold Coast Combat Academy is the only place in Ghana to train Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Combat Ju-Jutsu, two of the fastest-growing martial arts and combat sports on the planet! If you are only interested in coming in and learning as a hobby, maybe to gain some skills, self-confidence, and improve your physical and mental health, this is the place for you!
